About me

I was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist in March 2010. I specialise in the non-surgical treatment of early and advanced breast and gynaecological malignancies, including the use of systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biological therapies, endocrine therapy, as well as radiotherapy and brachytherapy, including interstitial brachytherapy for treatment of cervical cancer.

I have authored the West Midlands Radiotherapy Guidelines for the treatment of cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, and cancers of the vulva and vagina. These have been ratified by the West Midlands Radiotherapy Expert Advisory Group for use across the West Midlands Region. I contributed to the West Midlands Radiotherapy Guidelines for the treatment of breast cancer.

I am the Clinical Lead for radiotherapy at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. I regularly contribute to the West Midlands Radiotherapy Expert Advisory Group as well as to the West Midlands Brachytherapy Steering Committee.

I am a Principal Investigator for several clinical trials. I am compliant with the CPD requirements set out by the Royal College of Radiologists. I regularly attend national and international meetings to keep abreast with changes in practice so I can provide patients with the most effective and contemporary treatment.

I am passionate about post-graduate medical education and have previously served as the Chair of the Specialist Training Committee and Training Programme Director for Clinical Oncology in the West Midlands. I was involved with the writing of the 2021 Clinical Oncology Curriculum as part of Specialty Training Board at the Royal College of Radiologists.

Outside of work I enjoy playing badminton, cooking, and travelling to different parts of the world.
