About me

*NB* although it says "not fee-assured" Mr Waters's rates are only slightly higher for some procedures.
Mr Tim Waters is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in hips and knees. He received specialist orthopaedic training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore and subsequently spent a year in Australia on the Sydney Hip and Knee Surgeons' international fellowship.
He was appointed Consultant at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008 and was Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics from 2014-2017. He holds 7 clinical excellence awards.

His practice focuses specifically on complex orthopaedic surgery. He receives referrals from colleagues and consultants from other hospitals for the management of difficult cases, particularly problems with previous hip and knee replacement surgery.

Mr Waters sees and treats many orthopaedic conditions and fractures. His sub-speciality interests are hip and knee surgery including knee and hip replacement, partial knee replacement, arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), ligament reconstruction, complex revision joint replacements and patient-specific knee surgery.

Mr Waters takes a holistic approach to his practice and ensures he takes the time to explain things clearly in easy-to-understand terms and allows plenty of time for patients to ask questions and discuss concerns. This allows patients to make the best treatment decisions possible.
