Research interests
Tania has undertaken a number of studies to evaluate burn healing, and in using many new techniques that may help reduce scarring. Tania is very involved in teaching burn care, and is on the Emergency Management of Severe Burns Senate – part of the British Burn Association. Miss Cubison is actively involved in the training of the next generation of plastic surgeons, and is a member of the national Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) for Plastic Surgery Training. She is the SAC representative on the Training Interface Group in Major Trauma, working to train a multi-disciplinary group of consultants who will lead Trauma Care into the future. Having had two children whilst in surgical training, she is very aware of the issues that female surgeons face, and is currently the member of the SAC responsible for less than full-time trainees in plastic surgery nationally.
