About me
Dan Fagan is an experienced Consultant Spinal Surgeon in full time private practice having worked in the NHS for 18 years.
He qualified from Bristol University in 1995 and has trained extensively in some of the best spinal centres in the UK.
His practice consists only of patients with spinal problems and specialises in the treatment of back pain, sciatica and spinal stenosis. He offers state of the art treatments including minimal access surgery and disc replacement.
His practice offers a variety of techniques seen on the website, which give good results in carefully selected patients.
This expertise has led to Mr Fagan being invited to speak Internationally and also teach these techniques to other consultants. He has also participated in an advisory role to NICE.
10 years ago he brought a revolutionary method of treatment called Balloon Kyphoplasty to people with osteoporotic fractures in the Region, which continues with much success and many happy patients.
He provides Spinal care to elite sportsmen within Yorkshire and the North-East.
Mr Fagan receives referrals locally from a wide population base of approximately 1.25 million, which includes the whole of North Yorkshire, Teeside, Richmondshire, County Durham and Darlington, Harrogate,York,Whitby,Scarborough plus Cumbria and Lancashire.
He has wide experience in revision spinal surgical techniques and is often able to help when other operations have sometimes failed.
