About me
Dr Sara Khaksar is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Surrey County Hospital specialising in Prostate Cancer, including Prostate Brachytherapy, and Bladder Cancer. She was appointed Consultant in 2006 following completion of her Clinical Oncology training in London and a period as Clinical Fellow at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto and a Prostate Brachytherapy Fellowship at the Royal Surrey. Her Prostate Brachytherapy fellowship included the development of the two-stage procedure into the current one-stage real-time implant. She remains active in research as principal investigator for a number of clinical trials at the Royal Surrey. She is Prostate Brachytherapy Clinical Lead and Radiotherapy Development Lead for the Cancer Centre. She is also involved in medical education and is College Tutor for the Clinical Oncology Trainees.
