About me
I am one of the UK's leading sports hernia surgeons and also I am actively involved in research in the field of abdominal wall hernias.
I also continue to maintain an active general surgical practice and have been awarded a Visiting Professorship from the United States in the field of Hernia and Hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery as well as an Honorary Chair from Manchester Met University & the University of Manchester.
I am on the Board of the British Hernia Society (President 2020-22) and served on various subcommittees of the European hernia society.
I am well-published in the field of Liver and Pancreas cancer as well in Hernia surgery in addition to which I have written invited Book Chapters on the sportsman's groin.
Recently I have been surgically treating patients with Divarication of Recti - abdominal separation using a specialised keyhole technique in addition to seeing and surgically treated patients with chronic abdominal patients with A.C.N.E.S surgery (anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment).
