About me
I completed a research doctorate at the University of Oxford before training as a Clinical Psychologist. I worked in the NHS for 26 years and became a consultant in 2005. In the NHS I specialised in working with adults who had complex problems. I have a particular interest in helping people who have experienced difficulties or abuse in childhood.
I have run a small private practice since 1999 and I had a regular clinic at The Foscote Private Hospital between 2013 and 2020. In 2020 I began offering sessions online and this has remained my main way of working. I have found that my clients appreciate the convenience and flexibility this provides. I have access to clinic rooms in Buckingham and Banbury for occasional face-to-face appointments.
I work with adults (18 years +) and the main approaches I draw on in my therapeutic work are Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).
