About me
I am a highly experienced General, Upper Gastrointestinal, laparoscopic, and endoscopic surgeon with over 24 years of expertise. As the President of the British Benign Upper GI Surgical Society (BBUGSS), I lead advancements in my field.
I specialize in all types of hernia surgeries, as well as the treatment of gallstones, acid reflux, hiatus hernia, achalasia, and Upper GI cancers. I routinely perform complex laparoscopic procedures and advanced endoscopic interventions, including dilatation, stent placements, and more.
I was the first to establish the STRETTA (Endoscopic Anti-Reflux Radio-Frequency Treatment) center in the UK and actively conduct 'live' training courses. Additionally, I introduced Restech pH studies to enhance the diagnosis and management of acid reflux and LPR (manifesting as chronic cough, throat discomfort, and voice changes). I also specialize in POEM and cardiomyotomy for achalasia, providing cutting-edge treatment for this challenging condition.
