About me
Qualified in South Africa in 1996.
Completed a postgraduate fellowship at the renowned Charnley Hip Centre, UK.
Appointed Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Lead Kettering General Hospital,1998-2002.
On moving to London in 2002, was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Trauma Lead at North West London NHS Trust. Continued as Trauma Lead for 8 years managing Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals.
Has developed a dedicated Foot and Ankle Unit at Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals seeing GP and tertiary referrals, while also responsible for the complex Foot and Ankle Trauma.
The Unit provides teaching and training to orthopaedic registrars and medical students. Also involved in lecturing/facilitating College revision courses and conferences.
Current interests include Foot and Ankle Trauma, Sports Injuries, including soft tissue and tendon pathologies, forefoot deformity correction.
Past clinical lead at Clementine Churchill Hospital for shockwave therapy (ESWT) treating chronic/degenerative tendonopathies particularly of the Achilles and Plantar Fascia.
