About me

As a Consultant Gynaecologist for 18 years, of which 10 years have been at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, I am proud of contributing significantly to the subspecialty of Adolescent Gynaecology. In addition to my specialism, I provide the full breadth of gynaecology services, including diagnostics. I am proficient in laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and open surgery, with a particular emphasis on fertility sparing surgery.

� I am the first doctor in the UK to achieve the fellowship in Adolescent Gynaecology � IFEPAG
� I am an Executive committee member for the BritSPAG - which is the national organisation for Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology - PAG
� I am the UK representative representing the country in the Europe PAG executive committee.
As a Consultant Gynaecologist, I have introduced several 'firsts' in the gynae department at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
� I have started the adolescent clinics by stratifying it from paediatric clinics
� I've started the first Gynae Endocrine clinic in Norfolk
� I've established the adolescent and paediatric surgical service
� I've introduced several new hormone medications to the department
� I have attracted referrals from hospitals in the East of England region as far as 100 miles away -Basildon and Chelmsford, over Cambridge
In addition to my clinical role, I undertake several national roles:
� NICE guideline development group member: high risk intrapartum care and Co chair for the obesity group - 2019
� several RCOG committee memberships over 12 years
� CQC inspector since 2012
� MRCOG examiner since 2014
� Part 1 MFSRH committee member
� TOG reviewer - RCOG CPD journal for Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the country
� Recent publications in several high impact journals
� Invited speaker for several National PAG conferences
� UK representative for the UK vs USA debate on 'Laparoscopy in Adolescents'
� Invited speaker for the webinar for the public on Adolescent endometriosis' run by the Endometriosis UK Charity
