About me

I am a fellowship trained hand surgeon (University of Toronto hand programme) and maintain NHS and private practices in Norwich. I am past-President of the British Association of Hand Therapists and organise the East Anglia Hand Group. I am Chairman of the AO Hand and Wrist group - dedicated to national training of hand surgeons in trauma and reconstruction. I supervise a hand fellow (a nationally appointed trainee from plastic or orthopaedic surgery background about to reach consultant level).

Research interests

Dupuytrens disease with current government funding to develop a biomarker to predict response to surgical treatment with the School of Biology, UEA. I hold around Â£450,000 worth of research grants. 8 of my 28 papers in peer reviewed publications are in Dupuytrens disease. I have researched many other areas of hand surgery eg. scaphoid non union after fracture.
