About me
After attending Dulwich College, I studied medicine at St George's Hospital Medical School and undertook orthopaedic registrar training on the North Thames Rotation with time spent at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. In 2001 I undertook specialist fellowship training at New York University Medical Centre.
I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Lister and QE2 Hospitals in September 2002.
The majority of my practice is Knee surgery. I carry out the latest arthroscopic techniques for the management of ACL and meniscal/cartilage injuries. I perform the majority of primary and revision ACL reconstructions at East & North Herts Trust carrying out over 100 ACL reconstructions a year. I have considerable experience in managing the young patient with arthritis of the knee, performing knee sparing procedures such as high tibial osteotomies and unicompartmental knee replacements. I also carry out primary and revision total knee replacements as well as patient specific knee replacement surgery. I have a keen interest in patellofemoral problems, particularly patellar instability, carrying out minimally invasive patellar stabilisation surgery.
