About me

I am a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon specialising in colorectal cancer, early rectal cancer, robotic and laparoscopic (keyhole) colorectal surgery, robotic and laparoscopic hernia surgery, and the treatment of benign colorectal conditions.

My colorectal practice includes the treatment of colorectal cancer, early rectal cancer, diverticular disease, colorectal polyps, haemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures and anal fistulas. I perform Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery (TAMIS) for selected patients with early rectal cancer and complex rectal polyps and have a particular interest in organ-preserving treatment strategies for rectal cancer.

My hernia practice includes robotic and laparoscopic repair of inguinal (groin), femoral, umbilical, incisional and recurrent hernias, together with the management of complex abdominal wall hernias.

I am a JAG-accredited endoscopist, performing diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy to investigate rectal bleeding, change in bowel habit, abdominal pain, bowel polyps and other colorectal conditions.
