About me

Mr Palmer is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist expertise in knee conditions, offering personalised care for patients with knee pain, injuries, arthritis, or instability. He provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, including joint preservation, ligament reconstruction, and knee replacement using modern and minimally invasive techniques.

He completed his medical training in London and undertook specialist orthopaedic training in the Wessex region. During this time, he engaged in academic research that culminated in the award of a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) from the University of Oxford, with a thesis titled �The Role of Surgery in Early Osteoarthritis of the Knee.�

He has undertaken international fellowships in New Zealand and visited leading knee centres across Europe. His NHS base is Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Palmer welcomes insured and self-pay patients, with or without a referral. Patients are encouraged to provide previous imaging or test results in advance.
