About Miss Williams
Miss Samantha Williams is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. She has been in this role since October 2019 and is passionate about providing personalised, compassionate care for women with both benign and cancerous breast conditions.
She combines expertise in both cancer surgery and cosmetic techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for her patients - prioritising oncological safety, appearance, and emotional wellbeing.

Training and Experience
Miss Williams qualified as a doctor in 2005 from Imperial College School of Medicine. After completing her early training in London, she went on to complete surgical training in the Southwest of England (Severn Deanery).
She was awarded a highly competitive advanced fellowship in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, working with leading breast and plastic surgeons across the UK. This allowed her to gain specialist skills in complex breast reconstruction and cosmetic procedures.

Specialist Interests
Miss Williams is particularly interested in breast-conserving surgery helping patients avoid mastectomy where possible. She offers advanced techniques such as:
Cometic breast surgery reduction, augmentation and correction of asymmetry
Therapeutic mammoplasty combining cancer removal with breast reshaping
Chest wall perforator flaps using nearby tissue to avoid mastectomy when treating larger cancers
Reconstructive surgery working closely with plastic surgeons to offer DIEP flap (own tissue) reconstructions after mastectomy
Fat transfer (lipofilling) to improve symmetry or scarring after surgery or radiotherapy
She always works alongside a specialist breast care nurse to ensure her patients receive full support throughout their treatment journey.
