About me
About Me
I am a Consultant Breast Surgeon specialising exclusively in breast surgery, including benign breast disease, breast cancer and cosmetic breast surgery. I work in Swindon and treat over 150 women each year with breast concerns.
I was appointed as an Oncoplastic Breast Cancer Surgeon at the Great Western Hospital, Swindon, in October 2019, and I also practice privately at The Ridgeway Hospital. With more than 25 years of experience since starting medical training, I am committed to delivering personalised, compassionate care for women with both benign and malignant breast conditions.
I combine oncological expertise with advanced cosmetic techniques to achieve safe and effective outcomes - focusing on cancer clearance, restoration of form and function, attention to cosmetic detail, and support for patients' emotional wellbeing.
Training and Experience
I graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine, London in 2005 and completed higher surgical training in London and the South West (Severn Deanery).
I was awarded a competitive advanced fellowship in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, working with leading breast and plastic surgeons across the UK. This provided specialist experience in complex breast reconstruction and cosmetic breast procedures.
I have a particular interest in breast-conserving surgery and aim to avoid mastectomy where clinically appropriate. I offer a wide range of advanced techniques, including:
Cosmetic breast surgery - reduction, augmentation and correction of asymmetry
Therapeutic mammoplasty combining cancer excision with breast uplift
Chest wall perforator flaps enabling breast conservation for larger tumours
Reconstructive surgery - implant and including DIEP flap (autologous) reconstruction in collaboration with plastic surgeons
Fat transfer (lipofilling) to improve symmetry or address contour changes after surgery or radiotherapy
I work closely with specialist breast care nurses to ensure comprehensive support throughout each patient's treatment journey.
Your Care Comes First
I am committed to holistic, patient-centred care. I support enhanced recovery after surgery and recognise the importance of both physical and emotional wellbeing in achieving the best outcomes.
My patients can expect empathy, clear communication and consistent support at every stage of their treatment.
If you require a fast-track appointment (same-day imaging and results), please contact my medical secretary, Tracy Greenside, on 07354 658365, who will be happy to talk you through the process and arrange this.
