About me

Having trained in adult and paediatric general ENT surgery in the UK, Nimesh Patel has undergone subspecialty training in the USA, Austrailia and UK.

He is pleased to care for patients with all kinds of ear, nose and throat problems, but Mr Patel has a special interest and expertise in; swallowing disorders, laser surgery, voice (including professional voice users), snoring and sleep apnoea, head, neck and facial cancers, thyroid surgey, salivary gland surgery.

He has completed an MSc in Voice (Newcastle University), an MSc in Evidence Based Healthcare (Oxford University), an MSt in Genomics (Cambridge University) and a DIU in Robotics (University of Lorraine). He currently has research interests in voice rehabilitation and cancer genetics.

He has held several leadership roles including associate medical director, NHS England specialty advisor, President of the British Voice Association.
