About me

I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) medicine, which includes conditions affecting the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. I see patients aged 16 and over, and provide expert care across a wide range of digestive and liver disorders.

I have advanced training in complex endoscopic procedures such as:
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) � a highly specialised technique used to investigate the pancreas, bile ducts, and deeper layers of the gastrointestinal tract.
ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-pancreatography) � used to diagnose and treat conditions of the bile ducts and pancreas.
Luminal stent placement � for relieving obstructions in the digestive tract.
Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) � for the removal of large or precancerous polyps.

I established the EUS service at Milton Keynes University Hospital, and continue to be involved in the development of advanced endoscopy services locally.

Beyond my sub-specialist work, I manage a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions, including:
Liver disorders (e.g. fatty liver, abnormal liver tests, hepatitis), Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Barrett's oesophagus and acid reflux, Oesophageal motility and swallowing disorders.

Alongside my clinical role, I have a strong interest in medical education and currently serve as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Buckingham, where I contribute to the training of future doctors.

My approach is centred around clear communication, evidence-based care, and tailored treatment plans, with a focus on helping patients understand their condition and feel empowered in their care.
