About me

I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee replacement both primary and revision. Within the field of revision I have a special interest in management of infected joint replacements.

My Basic Surgical Training and subsequent Specialist Registrar Training were all in the West Midlands.

Before I became a Consultant I did a Fellowship in primary and revision hip and knee replacement at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.

In 2003 I was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

I am also a Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Warwick.

I am involved several research projects in relation to hip and knee replacement surgery and teach regularly at national and international meetings on these subjects.

As a high volume and experienced hip and knee revision surgeon I regularly get patients referred to me by other orthopaedic colleagues working in the region asking for a second opinion and on occasions asking for me to take over the care of patients with challenging complications
