About me
Mr Ian Sharpe graduated from St Marys Hospital, London in 1991 and completed his general surgical and orthopaedic training in the South West of England. He undertook Fellowships in Sydney and Seattle and gained his FRCS(Tr&Orth) accreditation in 2001, and was appointed a consultant at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter in 2003. He established the Foot and Ankle unit - which has now grown to include four consultants - and was the first Clinical Lead for the team from 20014 -21. He was Clinical Lead for Trauma from 2006-10, Clinical Director of the orthopaedic Centre from 2014-18. He has established an internationally recognised ankle replacement primary and revision unit, and has published on the subject. The unit has a well established Fellowship programme - and Mr Sharpe sits on the Educational Committee of BOFAS.
