About me
Mr Benson is an experienced eye surgeon educated in Canada, USA and the UK. He has been working in the NHS for over 10 years. He completed his undergraduate degree in music and biochemistry at Vassar College, USA before undertaking graduate medicine at Imperial College, London. His elective in ophthalmology was undertaken in Bloemfontein, South Africa before starting his ophthalmology training in the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He completed his specialty training in Yorkshire, including sub-specialty training in vitreo-retinal surgery in Leeds. Mr Benson is a skilled surgeon with expertise in managing complex cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy and diseases of the retina.
