About me

Mr Jamie A'Court is a Consultant Upper Limb Surgeon. He specialises in upper limb conditions including those of the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist.

He completed his undergraduate medical training at Newcastle University graduating in 2010. He then moved to the Manchester region for higher surgical training in Orthopaedics. Whilst in training he achieved several prizes, presented work nationally and secured a prestigious fellowship in New Zealand to hone his skills and expertise in upper limb surgery. He was awarded Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons in Orthopaedics in 2022. Whilst in New Zealand, he completed a training fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow and a subsequent fellowship in Hand Surgery.
His NHS practice is at Royal Bolton Hospital where he treats both acutely injured patients and those suffering from chronic disabling conditions. Mr A'Court has a strong research interest and this has led to the publication of numerous peer-reviewed articles. He supervises on national clinical trials.

He enjoys training and supervises 2 trainee orthopaedic surgeons.

Mr A'Court is a keen sportsman and enjoys racket sports and cycling, as well as spending time with his young family.
