About me
Dr Charan Singh Thandi is a Consultant Dermatologist working in Bristol, with a focus on skin cancer management, skin surgery, and laser treatments for various dermatological conditions. In addition to his private practice, he holds a substantive consultant position within the NHS, where he undertakes a wide array of clinical responsibilities, specialisingin the areas of skin cancer and surgical procedures and laser treatments. Dr Thandi also has a strong interest in aesthetic dermatology, offering specialised services using laser treatments for both medical and cosmetic indications.
Dr Thandi earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Newcastle University in 2016, following a Diploma in Medical Sciences (DipMedSci) from Durham University in 2013. To further his expertise, he obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCert) from the University of Cambridge in 2018. Dr Thandi completed his postgraduate dermatology training in the South West of England, achieving Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) and passing the Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) in Dermatology.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Thandi is actively involved in academic dermatology, having authored numerous research publications and supervised various research projects. He has presented his findings at esteemed international conferences, including the World Dermatology Congress in Singapore, the British Association of Dermatologists in the UK, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology in Italy. His research interests include the management of keloid scars, systematic reviews of written action plans for atopic dermatitis, and the use of carbon dioxide lasers for burns management. His contributions to the field have garnered recognition through awards at international forums, and he has published extensively in medical journals related to both dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
