Mr Gallagher studied medicine at Imperial College, London graduating in 2008. During this time he also undertook a BSc in Medical Imaging. After completing his foundation training in the West Midlands Deanery he entered Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in the London/Kent Surrey and Sussex Deanery. He completed RCOG Advanced Training Modules in Urogynaecology and Vaginal Surgery, Benign Gynaecology: open and laparoscopic and Advanced Labour Ward Practice and gained his CCT in 2017. He was awarded places on the prestigious BSGE/Ethicon Advanced Laparoscopy training program and the European Gynaecology Expert Training for Upcoming Professionals held in Rome.
He then undertook a fellowship in urogynaecology with Mr Alex Slack (sub speciality trained urogynaecologist) and a minimal access surgery/endometriosis fellowship with Miss Rebecca Mallick (BSGE endometriosis centre lead). He has numerous publications and has presented at conferences at both national and international level.
He was appointed as a consultant at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust in 2020.
Special interests include Urogynaecology, benign gynaecology and minimal access surgery.
