About me
I am a consultant Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeon, and I've been helping patients for over 20 years. My focus is on providing specialised care for both children and adults with various ENT conditions. I truly believe in putting my patients and their families first, actively listening to their concerns, and engaging in shared decision-making to ensure the best possible outcomes. I work hard to make every visit as positive and informative as possible.
I have received extensive training in ENT surgery for all ages, having completed my education in the Wessex and Oxford regions. I gained specialised experience at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and further honed my skills at The Evelina London Children's Hospital. My passion lies in treating children's ENT issues, including snoring, sleep apnoea, tonsillitis, ear infections, children's glue ear, hearing loss, blocked noses, runny noses, upper airway issues and more. I have been recognised for my care of children facing these challenges.
Over the years, I've performed thousands of procedures for both children and adults. These include using camera examinations to check the ears, nose, and throat, as well as ear wax removal and treatments for nosebleeds. I've also conducted many surgeries like tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, grommets, surgeries for blocked noses and ear drum repairs.
Currently, I serve as the associate secretary for the British Association for Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology (BAPO), where I help develop training programs and guidelines. I also edit the paediatric section of the journal ENT Masterclass and am part of the national team working on primary ciliary dyskinesia services for children. Additionally, I guide future surgeons as the Core Surgical Training Program Director for Wessex.
I have had an active role in various professional associations, including the British Laryngological Association, and I've organized international events centred on paediatric ENT care. I co-developed an award-winning training course for doctors that focuses on managing children's airway conditions, and I also helped establish the UK's first laryngeal reinnervation service for children.
I am proud to have presented my work globally and have published widely in numerous medical journals. My contributions to the field have been recognized with several awards, including honours for excellence and dedication to training junior doctors. I am passionate about research, and my collaboration with the Medical Research Council earned me a Doctor of Medicine.
I'm excited to continue making a difference in the lives of my patients and their families.
