About me

Mr. Farid Ud-Din serves as a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at Warwick University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He is director of the Warwick Hip Clinic located at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital and Meriden Hospital. Specializing in a wide array of hip-related issues, Mr. Ud-Din's expertise ranges from hip preservation to complex revision hip and knee surgery and limb reconstruction.

Mr. Ud-Din embarked on his medical journey in 2003 upon completing his MBBS. Following his house job in general medicine and general surgery, he commenced his basic surgical training in 2005, receiving training in plastic and orthopaedic surgery in Pakistan. He achieved his MRCS in 2009 before relocating to the UK in 2010. Continuing his professional development, Mr. Ud-Din completed his T & O training in Dorset and acquired fellowships in hip and knee arthroplasty from the Royal College of Surgeons, England (2021), as well as a diploma in Orthopaedic oncology from Oxford University.

Having pursued further fellowships in hip arthroplasty, hip preservation, and revision hip replacement, Mr. Ud-Din assumed the role of consultant at Oxford University Hospital in November 2021 before joining Warwick Hospital in August 2022. Mr. Ud-Din has performed over 4000 operations in UK with excellent results.

Mr Ud-Din is passionate about hip preservation, minimally invasive surgery, direct anterior approach for hip replacement and prosthetic Joint infection. He has been trained in Robotic arm assisted hip and knee replacement and this helps him in providing customized hip and knee replacement for his patients.

Mr Ud-Din's patients descried him as very knowledgeable, compassionate and one of the best arthroplasty surgeon. He remains deeply committed to shaping the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons by regularly engaging with registrars in training and medical students from Buckingham and Warwick medical schools. Additionally, he actively contributes to research, frequently presenting at both national and international conferences.
