About me
I am a Consultant Cardiologist with experience on all aspects of general cardiology. My area of expertise is investigation and invasive treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
I perform complex catheter ablation for all arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, atrial tachycardias, supraventricular tachycardias, ventricular ectopic beats and ventricular tachycardias. I also undertake complex cardiac device implantations, including pacemakers, transvenous and subcutaneous defibrillators and cardiac device revisions.
I graduated from the University of Patras medical school in Greece in 2009. I trained in cardiology in West Midlands and I completed my subspecialisation in Electrophysiology at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Birmingham before undertaking my electrophysiology fellowship at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
I undertook my research in antiplatelet therapy and was awarded a PhD in cardiovascular science in 2018. My research has been presented in international scientific meetings and published in high impact journals. I have a degree in Medical Education with the University of Warwick.
I was appointed as a Consultant in Cardiology and Electrophysiology at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital in 2021 where I am practicing to date.
I hold the certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology with the European Heart Rhythm Association board and I am a member of the British Heart Rhythm Society and European Society of Cardiology.
