About me
Ms Neal is a highly experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon offering expert care across the full range of urological conditions, with a particular specialist interest in bladder cancer.
Areas of expertise:
Bladder cancer - both non-muscle-invasive and muscle-invasive disease
General urology and urological emergencies
Prostate conditions, including prostate cancer
Stone disease, including complex kidney stones (PCNL) and ureteroscopy
Bladder and urinary symptoms associated with menopause, including recurrent UTIs and incontinence
Ms Neal has been a Consultant Urologist since 2017 and sees patients in the NHS and privately across Hampshire, including Basingstoke and Winchester.
She holds a PhD in prostate cancer research from the University of Cambridge, where her work on androgen receptor signalling was published in leading journals including Cancer Cell and the EMBO Journal.
She is co-author of the Oxford Handbook of Urology and has published extensively in peer-reviewed literature.
Ms Neal trained at the University of Nottingham Medical School, completing surgical training in Yorkshire and specialist urology training across the Eastern and South Central deaneries, including a fellowship in surgical oncology at Oxford University. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons.
Beyond clinical care, she has led national and regional initiatives in urology training and service improvement, and was named Consultant Teacher of the Year at the University of Oxford.
