About me

Mr Masood is a Consultant Urological Surgeon, with more than 25 years experience in Urology. He qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, and has completed all his surgical training in London. In addition to general urology, he has 15 years sub-specialist experience in the management of urinary tract stones. He is a high volume stone surgeon carrying out rigid and flexible ureteroscopy and laser stone fragmentation, as well as PCNL procedures (keyhole surgery for kidney stones). He performs approximately 200 ureteroscopies per year, and has significant experience in PCNL surgery. He has a specialist interest in the metabolic evaluation of recurrent stone formers, to help prevent stones.
He has trained and mentored many Consultant Urologists from throughout the UK and abroad, in complex flexible ureteroscopy and PCNL surgery.

He also treats other upper tract abnormalities, including strictures, and has specialist expertise in the use of different types of long term metallic ureteric stents. He is one of a few urologists carrying out specialised metallic stenting of ureters to improve quality of life in these patients.

In addition to his expertise in the management of urinary tract stones, Mr Masood also manages patients with all general urological conditions including BPH (Benign Prostatic Hypertophy), urinary tract infections, erectile dysfunction and peno-scrotal conditions.
