About me

I am a Consultant Rheumatologist with over a decade of consultant-level experience, currently based at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of London's leading teaching hospitals. I hold the role of Care Group Lead, reflecting my clinical leadership responsibilities across the department, including governance, quality improvement, and strategic oversight of rheumatology services.
My specialist interest is psoriatic arthritis, and I chair the multi-trust Psoriatic Arthritis MDT Panel for the NHS South West London Integrated Care Board, a regional leadership role that keeps me at the forefront of best practice in this field. I am actively involved in clinical trials, ensuring my patients benefit from the latest evidence-based treatments and emerging therapies.
In my NHS practice I treat the full breadth of rheumatological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, ankylosing spondylitis, connective tissue diseases, osteoporosis, gout, fibromyalgia, and hypermobility disorders. I am experienced in biologic therapies and perform joint and soft tissue injections.
I hold a research doctorate (MD) from University College London and have published in peer-reviewed journals including Rheumatology, Lupus Science & Medicine, and Frontiers in Immunology, with presentations at major national and international conferences. I am committed to delivering thorough, personalised care that draws on the very latest research.

Research interests

My research interest centres on psoriatic arthritis (PsA), spanning basic science, translational research, and clinical trials. My doctoral work at University College London investigated the role of Th17 and Th22 cells in PsA pathogenesis, demonstrating that IL-22 is dysregulated in PsA and plays a regulatory role in inflammation — findings published in Frontiers in Immunology and presented at the European Congress of Immunology and ACR. I have also explored how regulatory T cells enhance Th17 migration in PsA synovial fluid, and how this is reversed by anti-TNF therapy.
In clinical trials, I was site investigator for the POETYK PsA-2 phase 3 trial evaluating a novel biologic in active PsA, and am currently co-investigator in the NIHR-portfolio iPROLEPSIS-PDPID study, a digital phenotyping and inflammation drivers study led by the University of Oxford.

I enjoy painting and drawing, playing tennis, travelling and spending time with my family.
