About me
Professor Stephen Langley was appointed a Consultant Urological Surgeon in 1998. He trained in London and Bristol and undertook a fellowship in America and was awarded the Yates Gold Medal in his training.
He is an international expert in prostate cancer; its diagnosis and treatment. He also has a broad experience in all aspects of urology including benign prostate conditions including BPH, bladder cancer and urinary stone disease.
He has the UK's largest experience in treating patients with I125 Prostate Brachytherapy having successfully treated over 3500 patients to date. He developed the technique of 4D Brachytherapy and regularly gives lectures nationally and internationally on prostate cancer and its treatments.
He is also a trained robotic surgeon and regularly performs Robotic assisted Radical Prostatectomy.
Prof. Langley is a member of the Prostate Cancer Advisory Group that advises the Dept. of Health on prostate cancer issues.
