About me
I am a Consultant Benign Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgeon. Having graduated from the University of London in 1996 after studying at Guys and St Thomas’s Medical schools, I underwent specialist surgical training in London and the South West Thames Deanery achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013 and my Certificate of Completion of Training and entry onto the GMC Specialist Register in 2014.
I was appointed to a substantive NHS Consultant post in Salisbury in 2014 where I have developed both my clinical, managerial, and educational interests. I have been clinical lead for acute surgical admissions and interim lead for the newly established GI unit as well as continuing to be Lead Clinician for UGI MDT with extensive links to our OG and HPB centers. I am also Training Programmme Director for the Higher surgical Training in General Surgery in Wessex.

I currently provide an extensive service for the management of:
Hernias: laparoscopic (keyhole)and open for groin and abdominal wall.
Gallstone disease
Surgery for acid reflux including hiatus hernia repair.
