About me
Dr Ed Johnston is an Academic Consultant in Interventional Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital/Institute of Cancer Research Biomedical Research Centre.
He qualified in 2009, gained his PhD from University College London in quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging in 2017, and completed his training in Interventional Radiology in 2019.
His clinical interests are in all aspects of Oncologic Intervention, particularly tumour ablation (destroying tumours directly with energy imparted by specialised needles).
His academic work has ranged from laboratory research to clinical trials, with current focus upon developing, optimising, and integrating promising new technologies into clinical practice.
