About me
Mr Hugh Mostafid is a consultant urologist with over 25 years' experience, specialising in bladder cancer, prostate problems, kidney stones and urinary tract infections.
Mr Mostafid places great importance on clear communication with his patients. He believes that even complex urological problems should be explained in a simple and understandable way. He takes time to explain what is causing the problem, the treatment options available and why a particular treatment may be recommended, ensuring that patients have a clear understanding of their condition and feel involved in decisions about their care.
He trained at Guy's Hospital and the Institute of Urology in London and has held consultant and academic positions in the UK and internationally. He has an academic interest in bladder cancer and has a national and international reputation in this field with extensive involvement in bladder cancer research and clinical trials. He is an advisor to NICE on bladder cancer and is a member of the European Association of Urology Bladder Cancer Guidelines Panel.
His aim as a consultant is simple: to provide expert specialist care while making sure every patient understands their condition and treatment.
