About me
Mr Aweid graduated from St George's University London and completed his orthopaedic specialist training at the Cambridge Deanery. He is fully trained across the full spectrum of knee surgery and across multiple healthcare systems, having completed two internationally renowned knee fellowships. The first was at the Kennedy Fowler Sport Medicine Clinic in Canada focusing on soft tissue knee surgery and osteotomy, followed by a second at Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he gained valuable experience in uni-comparmental, total and revision knee arthroplasty.
Academically, he has a strong interest in research. He completed two research degrees, both an MSC and a BSc, and was awarded a distinction in his research projects. He has published numerous papers in good quality journals.
In 2012 he was successfully selected into the field of play medical team at the London Olympics, and in 2015 was awarded membership of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine in recognition of his training in the specialty.
