About me
Dr Mankia is an Oxford trained Associate Professor and Consultant Rheumatologist. He has extensive experience in all areas of rheumatology. He has a special expertise in the early diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory joint disease, including the use of ultrasound and MRI. He is an international expert in rheumatoid arthritis risk factors, early diagnosis and intervention.
Dr Mankia was born and raised in Warwickshire. He was educated at Oxford University, where he won a scholarship and took a first class honours with double distinction, achieved by only a handful of students. He was awarded a prestigious academic clinical fellowship to train in general medicine at the world renowned John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals, Oxford. He has spent the last decade specialising in rheumatology, working at two European centres of excellence, Oxford and Leeds.
