About me

Tony is a Senior ENT Consultant in Brighton and Haywards Heath having trained at St Mary's Hospital, London (now Imperial) and completing his general surgery FRCS whilst undertaking post graduate ENT training in North Thames (St Mary's Charing Cross, Bart's Royal National Throat Nose and Ear, Great Ormond St, Royal Marsden).

Tony spent a year completing Laser Research in pioneering methods of early cancer diagnosis at MIT resulting in his being published in Nature, as well as other medical journals.Through these years he was awarded a number of prizes.

Tony is committed to academic rigour in his roles as Lead Lecturer in Undergraduate ENT at BSMS. He is an examiner for BM BS finals, for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for MRCS and for the European Board of ENT in Vienna. He is regularly invited to lecture at National and International meetings for ENT and more recently on the History of Art at the Royal Society of Medicine. Much of his current practice is undertaken with minimally invasive endoscopic collaborative surgery with both eye surgeons and neurosurgeons in decompressing the orbit and removal of skull base brain tumours.

Away from medicine he is an enthusiastic skier and cyclist with quieter time spent reading, doing crosswords and in art galleries. Tony is married with 4 children.
