About me
Dr Alison Ranger has both a private and NHS practice at The Royal Marsden and HCA. She is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of patients with breast cancer.
Dr Ranger graduated from University College London Medical School in 2005. She completed her specialist oncology training in London, predominantly at The Royal Marsden. In addition to obtaining a master's degree in Oncology from the University of London she also has a research degree from the Institute of Cancer Research. Her research focused on complex radiotherapy techniques to maximise the radiation dose delivered to the breast and lymph nodes whilst reducing dose to the heart and lungs. In 2016, Dr Ranger was awarded the Proton Beam Visiting Fellowship from The Royal College of Radiologists and spent time at MD Anderson in Texas learning about this new technique.
Her research interests include the use of complex radiotherapy techniques for high-risk breast cancer patients. She is also has a special interest in Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy for spinal metastases.
