Dr Matteo is an experienced consultant in sport & musculoskeletal medicine. He is an expert in problems affecting the musculoskeletal system, and his specialist interest is in complex bone, muscle, tendon & joint pain of unknown cause. He is passionate about treating complex musculoskeletal problems, such as back, neck, shoulder and jaw pain (temporomandibular dysfunction).

My research interests are in complex musculoskeletal pain, particularly back pain and temporomandibular (jaw) pain.
I am leading clinical research projects at UCLH on the use of nutritional and dietary interventions to manage chronic musculoskeletal pain, including the role of high-dose Omega-3 and other natural immunomodulators.
In my spare time I love to practice yoga, kickboxing and gymnastics, and whenever possible I try to escape to the Italian Alps for winter skiing. I live in London with my lovely partner.
