About me
I am a consultant gynaecologist and gynaecological oncology surgeon.
I treat benign gynaecological disorders such as menstrual cycle problems, pelvic pain, endometriosis and fibroids.
I also treat gynaecological cancers including ovarian, endometrial, cervical and vulval cancers. Related procedures can be performed by open or minimal access surgery in the form of laparoscopic or robotic surgery.
I offer outpatient diagnostic tests including cervical smear, colposcopy, vulvoscopy and hysteroscopy and relative treatment when required.
Inpatient treatments include diagnostic and operative colposcopy, hysteroscopy, minimal access and open surgery. Some of the procedures provided are sterilisation, polyp and fibroid removal, ovarian cystectomy, salpingooopherectomy, hysterectomy, vulval and vaginal lesion excision.
I qualified from ‘The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland’ in 2005. I undertook general obstetric and gynaecological in Lancashire and completed an MD in ‘Biospectroscopy towards screening and diagnosis of cancer’.
I sub-specialised as a gynaecological oncology surgeon in Leeds and was appointed as a consultant at St James’s University Hospital in 2017.
I am a registered colposcopist with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) and a member of the British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS) and European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO).
I am an honorary senior lecturer at Leeds university.
