About me
Miss Faryal Nizami is a Consultant Gynaecologist in Milton Keynes with over 15 years of clinical experience in the field of both obstetrics & gynaecology. After completing her basic medical degree & training in Pakistan, she went on to obtain her Fellowship from the College of Physicians & Surgeons, and later moved to the UK in 2007 where she successfully attained Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists . Miss Nizami completed specialist training at Oxford Deanery and began working as a Consultant at Milton Keynes University Hospital in 2016. Within her practice Miss Nizami treats general gynaecological conditions and problems associated with women’s health such as heavy periods, premenstrual tension, menopause symptoms, endometriosis, postmenopausal bleeding, HRT, infertility, vulval conditions and ovarian cysts. She also has a special interest in high risk pregnancies. Miss Nizami is a strong patient advocate and has been nominated for the 2019 ‘WE COMMUNICATE’ staff awards for Patient Experience at Milton Keynes University Hospital. She has an extremely strong work ethic and feels passionately about delivering high quality, patient centred care for all her patients. This positive drive has encouraged Miss Nizami to get involved in several quality improvement projects at MKUH, all of which are aimed at improving patient experience and treatment outcomes. These include PReCePT (Reducing cerebral palsy through improving uptake of magnesium sulphate in preterm deliveries), ATAIN (Avoiding term admissions in neonatal units) and Saving babies lives bundle 2. Besides her clinical work, Miss Nizami is actively involved in research, teaching and training. She holds the role of Principal Investigator for a multicentre research trial, The BIG Baby Trial, and also regularly delivers formal lectures to University of Buckingham medical school undergraduates. Miss Nizami also dedicates her time to acting as MRCOG examiner for The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologist, and has previously been as associate examiner for international medical graduates at the GMC.
