About me
Mohamed Mabrouk is a consultant gynaecologist and endometriosis surgeon with special interest in endometriosis, menstrual disorders, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Mohamed currently works at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he was instrumental in founding the Cambridge Endometriosis and Endoscopic Surgery Unit (CEES-U). Mohamed also practices privately at the Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital.
Mohamed is a European Board-Certified Gynaecologist. He is recognised internationally as an expert in the field of endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery, and offers expert ultrasound diagnosis and management of endometriosis and benign reproductive disorders.
A world-class surgeon, Mohamed performs high-level endoscopic surgery for endometriosis and benign gynaecological diseases and teaches complex endometriosis surgery in the UK, Europe and Internationally. He is frequently invited to speak at national and international congresses and present his learning on specialist courses to share his extensive knowledge.
Mohamed takes a holistic approach to patient care, considering all of the factors endometriosis and benign reproductive disorders can have on a woman’s life; he is dedicated to helping women suffering from endometriosis to have a better quality of life.
Mohamed received his specialist training and earned the European Board in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and MD from Bologna University, Italy. He obtained his PhD in Endometriosis Management from VUMC, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He was appointed as a consultant gynaecology surgeon at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Negrar, Verona, Italy and worked as a senior consultant in the Endometriosis Centre of Bologna University Hospital.
Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Alexandria University Egypt, Mohamed is also the President of the Middle East Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (MESGE). His achievements include two international awards in the field of endometriosis and female health awareness in the USA.
Mohamed speaks English, Italian and French in addition to his native language Arabic.
