About me
Dr Alicia Okines is a Consultant Medical Oncologist in breast and acute oncology. She studied Pharmacology and then Medicine at the University of Sheffield and undertook her junior doctor training in Sheffield, Nottingham and the Royal Free Hospital. She completed her specialist medical oncology training at the Royal Marsden in 2015 then was appointed Consultant at The Royal Marsden.
During her oncology training, she completed an MD(Res) investigating targeted agents at the Institute of Cancer Research with Professor David Cunningham. She has widely published in peer-reviewed journals about cancer treatments.
Her research interests principally lie in clinical trials and translational research in metastatic breast cancer. She is leading a UK trial for lobular breast cancer and was appointed Honorary Faculty at the Institute of Cancer Research.

Neo-adjuvant chemotherapy; adjuvant chemotherapy; adjuvant endocrine therapy; treatment of advanced breast cancer; treatment of breast cancer brain metastases and leptomeningeal disease
