About me
I trained in general medicine in Belfast. I moved to the West Midlands in my early years and developed a vocation in dermatology, focusing both on practice and research. I won a Sir John Fisher Foundation Research Fellowship to study male genital skin disease at Chelsea and Westminster and University College Hospitals, London (2011 – 2013) followed by an MD award (research) from Imperial College in 2017.
Currently, I am an appointed topic expert-member (managing common infections committee) for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). I participate in the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) guideline development group and am an associate editor for Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, the educational journal of the BAD. I continue to publish medical literature and lecture on national dermatology courses.
