About me
Dr Hannah Cookson is a Consultant Dermatologist at the St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital, London, an internationally recognised centre of excellence for dermatology.
She is the lead consultant for the community dermatology service for southwark and is involved in the training and education of GPs with a special interest in dermatology.
Dr Cookson graduated from University of Bristol Medical School in 2006 before moving to London to complete her post graduate medical training. She undertook her dermatology specialist training at the prestigious Kings College Hospital and Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital, where she was appointed as a substantive consultant in 2017. She is published in her areas of specialist interest and has won prizes for her dedication to patient care.
Areas of interest
Her specialist interests include eczema, cutaneous allergy, urticaria and psoriasis. She is happy to assess and treat all general dermatology problems including acne, hair problems, benign and cancerous skin lesions and acute rashes. Dr Cookson approaches patient's problems holistically ensuring they are actively involved in decisions about their treatment.
