About me

I believe every patient deserves an accurate diagnosis before discussing treatment. Surgery should only be recommended when it is likely to provide a meaningful benefit, and every patient deserves a personalised treatment plan based on the latest clinical evidence.

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust and exclusively specialise in conditions affecting the knee. I treat patients with knee pain, sports injuries, ligament injuries, meniscal tears, cartilage damage, kneecap instability and knee arthritis, from first presentation through to complex reconstruction and joint replacement.

Whether your symptoms have developed gradually or started after a sporting injury, my priority is to understand how your knee problem is affecting your life. Every consultation includes a thorough assessment, a careful review of your imaging, a clear explanation of your diagnosis, and an honest discussion of all appropriate treatment options, allowing you to make an informed decision with confidence.

Wherever possible, I aim to preserve your natural knee. Many patients can achieve excellent results without surgery through physiotherapy, lifestyle modification, activity advice and injection therapy. When surgery is required, I offer the latest evidence-based knee preservation procedures, including meniscal repair and reconstruction, cartilage restoration, osteochondral allograft transplantation, osteotomy, and complex ligament reconstruction.

I have a particular interest in treating sports knee injuries, including ACL, PCL, MCL and complex multi-ligament injuries, helping patients safely return to work, exercise and competitive sport.

For patients with advanced knee arthritis, I offer robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacement, using modern technology to improve precision, optimise implant positioning and support recovery. I also regularly see patients seeking a second opinion for persistent knee pain, failed previous surgery or complex knee conditions.

Whether your goal is to return to elite sport, enjoy an active lifestyle, or simply walk comfortably without pain, my commitment is to provide expert, compassionate and personalised care throughout your treatment journey.
