About me

Following years of experience I treat patients the way I would treat either myself or a family member.

Expert Skin Cancer assessment and surgery in a considered and cosmetically sensitive fashion. Mole checking and regular skin checks.

Basal cell carcinoma treatment, and melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma.

Surgery available in Southampton, Portsmouth and Chichester private Hospitals.

General Dermatology, Eczema, Psoriasis, rashes, itchy skin, hair loss. Investigation and managment

I graduated in medicine from the University of Edinburgh and University of St Andrews in 2005. I first started in dermatology in 2007 in Portsmouth Hospitals Trust dermatology department. I completed my dermatology training in May 2016 on the Wessex rotation. I now work in one of the busiest dermatology departments on the South Coast.

I have interests and speciality training in all aspects of dermatology including: General dermatology (eczema, psoriasis, acne, vitiligo, itchy skin, urticaria, infections), skin lesions (moles, cysts, warts, skin tags and blemishes), sun damage and treatments, photodynamic therapy and skin cancer treatments, including surgical management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers (including basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma).

I have performed thousands of primary and re-excisions from all areas of the body in the management of both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. In my NHS position I do twice weekly surgical lists with on average 20+ procedures performed each week. The goal is always treatment of the skin cancer with utmost consideration to preserving the cosmetic profile.

I am married to a local General Practitioner and have a young family at the local Church of England School. At the weekends we enjoy all outdoor pursuits and in the summer our favourite holiday destination is the North Cornwall coast for walking, surfing and occasional fishing and cooking.
