About me

I am a fellowship trained spinal surgeon and offer surgical treatment for a full range of spinal conditions. My entire surgical practice is focused on spinal surgery and I perform over 300 spinal operations each year.

I studied medicine at the University of Leeds and completed both basic and higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics in the Yorkshire Deanery. I then gained specialist training in complex spinal surgery in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine as the National Spinal Fellow at Leeds General Infirmary - a combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic fellowship. I built on this experience with fellowship posts with the Scottish National Spinal Deformity Service at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, and as an AO Spine Fellow at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.

Areas of interest

Surgery for degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine; Adult spinal deformity surgery; Minimally invasive spinal surgery; Interbody fusion surgery - PLIF, TLIF, ALIF, XLIF and OLIF techniques; Coccygectomy
