About me

I am a full-time Consultant Spinal Surgeon. Having dedicated my professional career to this field of medicine I care for more than a thousand patients with spinal problems every year.

I completed my higher specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Yorkshire. I was awarded Surgical College Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS) in 2012. This was followed in 2014 by admission to the General Medical Council Specialist Register and award of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT).
In years 2014 and 2015 I enhanced my experience in complex spinal surgery with two prestigious fellowships: National Spinal Fellowship in Leeds General Infirmary and National British Orthopaedic Association Fellowship in Spinal Surgery in Northumbria. I have worked as Consultant Spinal Surgeon in Leeds since 2015 and been Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Leeds University.

My specialist interest include assessment and both surgical and non-surgical treatment of adult spinal conditions and covers the whole spine. These include degenerative, traumatic, tumour and spinal deformity problems. I work closely with allied professionals in complex spinal conditions. Our collaboration has a common aim to improve quality of life of all my patients.

My second professional passion is teaching with my commitments here ranging from training the students to lecturing on international spinal courses. I have been reviewing spinal articles and been an author of several publications in this field myself.

In my private life the three most important people are my wife Patrycja and children Julia and Jakub. Thanks to them I have successfully managed to live a happy life and share my passion for sport, travel and discovery of new exotic foods.
