About me
Dr Sharma graduated from the University of Cambridge, with further study at University College London. He is dual-accredited, achieving both Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians.
After training in all areas of Dermatology, he completed a Fellowship programme in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He is registered with the British Society of Dermatological Surgery external quality assurance scheme for Mohs surgery and pathology analysis.
His specialist interest is the treatment of cancer. He is Deputy Chair of the skin cancer Multidisciplinary Team, and author of the UK guidelines for early skin cancer management. He currently trains medical colleagues in both skin surgery and Mohs surgery, and teaches on national courses.
Dr Sharma is Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, a post that facilitates active and ongoing contributions to research, training and publications, including scientific papers and textbooks. He also treats patients with general dermatological complaints, including connective tissue disorders and inflammatory dermatoses.
Dr Sharma offers consultations at the Spire Nottingham Hospital, and also via the private patients team at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre.
