About me
Miss Ghadah Ahsan completed her foundational training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Aberdeen University Hospitals. She then relocated to the south coast, where she undertook specialist training within the Wessex Deanery, gaining experience at Poole, Dorchester, and Princess Anne Hospitals, Southampton University.
In 2012, Miss Ahsan was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecologist at the Lister Hospital, East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. From 2019 to 2022, she served as the Clinical Director for Gynaecology, where she focused on enhancing the quality of patient care and advancing the gynaecological services offered within the trust.
Miss Ahsan's areas of expertise include Diagnostic Oncology, Colposcopy, outpatient Hysteroscopy, and minimal access surgery, including robotic-assisted procedures using the state-of-the-art Da Vinci Xi system. She has been appointed as a Council Member of BIARGS for a two-year term (December 2025 � December 2027). She is a member of the Hysteroscopy Subcommittee of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and is a recognised trainer for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the BSGE, where she facilitates Advanced Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy training courses. Furthermore, she is an accredited trainer with the British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons (BIARGS) for robotic surgery in Gynaecology.
As a certified Colposcopist with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), Miss Ahsan offers specialist care in managing complex cases, including vulval dysplasia and colposcopy during pregnancy. Her extensive expertise in Endometriosis management was honed at leading nationally recognised centres, and supports the Endometriosis Service at her hospital.
